butterfly creek

I accompanied the little guy on a kindy trip to Butterfly Creek recently.  It really is a cool place to visit.  Not so close to home that we'd want to get a year pass or anything, but pretty fun.  There are some new additions since the last time I visited, most obviously being the crocodiles.

They have a wee train, a farm yard where you can visit and pat the animals, crocodiles and of course masses of butterflies in the very humid butterfly house.

I'm so conscious that there's only three more terms till he starts school.  It's hard to comprehend that I won't have any preschoolers at home anymore.  Weird.

I'm making the most of the wee bits of time that we get to play and giggle and skip and dance and explore the neighborhood together.  Stopping to collect acorns and leaves and look at bugs.  It's going a little bit too fast.

That is wierd. It's wierd enough with one left behind and two at school. I can't imagine not having ANY left at home. Not yet. Eek. xx

I remember my mum telling me to enjoy your children while they are young as they will grow up so quickly you will wonder what happened - nothing seems to have changed. Our lovely sons are now men but the memories of them as little boys growing up are still very real.
