our new photo wall

It occurred to me recently that despite the thousands of photos I have taken over the past few years, we hardly had any on display.  So one weekend we remedied that with a family photo wall.  It took a bit of getting used to (wasn't sure if I liked it or not) but it feels good to have everyone on there and to see them everyday.  I struggle with living far away from our families but love Auckland and don't know that we'll ever be back in Christchurch long term.  That's the main reason I started the blog, so that they could see the boys growing up and changing, without missing big chunks of their childhoods.  Once again... technology rocks!

The photo wall looks great - wow, must have taken some time to decide which photographs to use and how to mount and frame them. I too have lots of photos of all our family on the walls and a large montage as we go up the stairs, so we can say 'good night' to all the family overseas before bed :)

I started our blog for our family overseas too and it's given us all so much joy over the years and has been very addictive! I've love looking back on all our happy memories and have enjoyed making new friends along the journey.

I love the wall. I couldn't cope without all my photos of my babies around me. I need to get some updated photos of my big boys when we come up labour weekend.
Love you
XOXOXOXO

Hi Meg

Just discovered your blog and had to comment. Your photos are great and tell some wonderful stories. We are in Christchurch and most of my family are in Auckland so I understand the whole missing the family part!! I am blogging too so my family can see my boys and my photography.
