still allergic

Okay we're not at all surprised that he's still allergic to cow's milk  This tiny dot is all that he has to show for it but we know that he reacts massively.  So I survived the hospital visit, including having to physically restrain a very upset boy when the nurse pulled out a big needle (in front of him!) to take his blood.  It was seriously awful and next time I'll be enlisting daddy help.  So there were quite a few Super Mario lollies eaten today.  I'm really over this allergy thing!  About two years ago a good friend told me she wouldn't be able to look after him any more because of his allergy (soon after he had an anaphalactic reaction and required the Epipen and an ambulance to hospital).  I was gutted at the time and sometimes wonder if he will struggle with friendships in the future.  Going to StarShip Hospital does make me aware of how good we have it though... there are so many families with much harder things to deal with every day.  We really are pretty lucky.
