On the way home from school today our streets were littered with cans and bottles from the nearby student orientation gig. Turns out that there had been a stabbing, which explains the proliferation of cop cars and the helicopter circling overhead. The boys are always into cleaning up our neighbourhood and so made the most of a discarded vodka cruiser box (we started with one). A girl from up the road noticed that we'd run out of room in our box and so ran out to give us a plastic shopping bag. Really we should keep some in the boys backpacks. We picked up 30-40 cans and bottles on our short walk... pretty glad that it's not O week every week!

I wish there were actual punishments for people who litter.

Um I'm not sure what you mean... is it some sort of smiley thing? I never got them to work either. More cans and bottles today, another whole box and grocery bag!
