On the Saturday there was head dress making, dressing up and face painting. Plenty of time for being silly with new friends too. One of the best parts for the boys was the extended time they had with other kids.
This was the beautiful light from the cellophane windows of the playhouse.
We met lots of awesome creative people there too. This man and his family were camping near us and he was great with all of the circus tricks and making balloon creations for the kids.
Once everyone was painted and glamourfied our boys led the kids parade through the site to go and watch the circus.
After the circus it was back to the Rumpus Room to learn tightrope walking, hula hooping (even I can do it now!) and have a go on some unicycles.
My photos don't really show the scale of Splore or the amazing sights and people everywhere as I was mainly focussed on our wee area. There were many different music and performance spaces by the beach, and about 8,000 people there. It was really wonderful. I didn't mention the gorgeous swimming either, it was lovely, until the last day when some gross yachties emptied their chemical toilets into the sea, spoiling everybody's day. Ban the boats I say!
