As an incentive (bribe) for the kids to not grizzle about going to swimming lessons, they came up with the idea of having a Star Wars movie night and pizzas. They were excited to make an invitation and email it to DaddyVader. Gorgeous print available from here.
So off we went to the whole food store for cheezly and popped into Simone's to borrow some costumes and lightsabers. At the last minute we couldn't find the right gun prop so the fluro water pistol had to make do.

It was a fun night and the boys loved it. In the month since we did this I've been keeping an eye out in op shops for bits of Star Wars type things for their dress up box. I found a small black waistcoat (Han Solo) and a white karate style top (Anakin) for cheap and made this Ewok costume from an old red jersey and some scraps of curtain fabric.

I think its time we did another themed movie night and might just have to borrow this idea... (since we DO have the costumes...)
