After a fair long while of lusting after the bikes at Rode, I found myself a much less expensive but still very pretty bicycle at Penny Farthing cycles in Symonds Street. All their bikes are half price permanently which makes things quite affordable (especially as I've been saving up). I took it on the train last week to work (it had to get its own ticket) and cycled home after work, it was awesome as it was mostly down hill. Finding work pretty tiring but good. Am doing Monday - Friday so it's a bit tricky adjusting after seven years as a full time unpaid homeworker (that's what the kids call it "homeworking").
