what are they called?

#2 spent ages making this house as a gift for me.  It sat in the hall on display for a while (which created the "window") and then I photographed it so that he could push out all of the pegs. As a girl I loved playing with my Nana and Grandpa's set of these when we visited for Sunday tea.  Maybe I should hold onto them for our grand kids to play with one day.  Do you know what they're called?

They are so cool! I know them as peg boards. I have an old playschool one that I got at the Salvation Army :)
