fathers' day adventuring

On Sunday I was working from 1-7pm, so we made the most of a family morning together.  We went into the city and did a bit of geocaching.  Our first one was apparently hidden on Grafton Bridge.

We searched for ages (while trying to be subtle about it) but no luck.  There were some good views to check out though.  And the camera did give the illusion that we were being touristy rather than suspiciously searching for the cache.

I have some more pictures from Sunday and plan to post an introduction to geocaching sometime soon.

I've been up since about half three this morning with this wee guy.  Some sort of vomiting bug.  Thank goodness he's not a toddler anymore is all I can say.  Poor love was quite out of sorts last night, I did wonder if something was on it's way.

  1. I've had a look now at what geocatching is and it sounds pretty fun! Hope the wee fella is feeling better :)

    1. It is a really fun, low cost (pretty much free), outdoor family activity. Yes he's all better now thank goodness. I've almost recovered from the lack of sleep.

Maybe we could do some geocaching when we next come to see you - looks like good outside fun.

  3. Geochaching sounds fabulous! Would love a post on it. Thanks so much for your pointer about the nifty 50 lens! I did a workshop with Love & Soul photography today and that's all she uses. I loved getting to know the lens and can't wait to play some more. Thanks, oh wise Megs x
