Saturday morning and there's a large pile of medical scrubs lying on the floor in our hall. Why you ask?
Well Friday night was the annual school quiz night. This year the theme was "tv show". We gathered some supplies and went as our own version of "Grey's Anatomy". We were all dodgily named doctors: Dr Mona Lotts (sex therapist), Dr Bobbit (pencil surgeon), Dr I.P.Freely (chief urologist), Dr Brown (rectal specialist)...
Late the night before, Dr Bobbit had the inspired idea that we needed name tags. Luckily Dr Feelgood and I have some surgical photoshop skills and whipped these up. The trickiest bit was coordinating all of the team to take and email a last minute photo of themselves in their scrubs. Dr Lotts happened to have a box of 100 lanyards in her garage, handy!
We took our snacks in foil cartons and had an alien in a specimen jar as the centerpiece. Our props helped us to win "best dressed" even though there were up against two tables of Mad Men, a Happy Days team complete with small ride on motorbike and the kids from Fame. Although we mightn't have been the cleverest with the answers we definitely had a lot of fun and got to be a bit crazy. Many sifty parents the next day.
